Family Support Group is for Resident Family Members or Friends who act as a support system or representative for the Resident.

We ask that Residents do not attend this meeting to allow participants to share freely and interact.

The Residents celebrated New Years Eve at 12 noon with a balloon drop, dancing, snacks and sharing their New Year's resolutions!

We are pleased to announce our 5th Annual Commitment to Caring Award!

Christian Assisted Living of Johnson City Executive Director Shelley Bailey and Staff would like to recognize Lisa Tucker, CNA as the Recipient of the 2025 Commitment to Caring Award.

Christian Assisted Living of Johnson City was asked to nominate employees that continually demonstrate a “Commitment to Caring”. These employees were nominated based upon the criteria of:

- Relating well to residents, families, visitors, staff, and supervisors; respecting resident’s rights;

- Consistently performing beyond basic job requirements; promoting safety in the workplace;

- Striving to maintain personal and professional growth through in-services or external educational opportunities;

- Maintaining a positive “can-do” attitude;

- Having dependable attendance; participating in company sponsored events;

- Participating as a team player;

- And overall continually demonstrating the “Commitment to Caring” philosophy.

Lisa has worked at Christian Assisted Living of Johnson City for twelve years and in healthcare six years. She continually shows a “Commitment to Caring” by listening when Residents talk and to be there for them.

She stated that her motivation is that she has meaningful work that makes a difference in people’s lives.

Lisa shared that she likes working at Christian Assisted Living because she has great Bosses and the Residents are her family and they make her happy each day. Everybody is great to work with as well.

As for personal experiences, she shared that she enjoys helping Team members and learning new skills. 

It might be cold outside, but the Residents are heating things up on the inside with Drum Alive Therapy!
