We are pleased to announce our 5th Annual Commitment to Caring Award!

Christian Assisted Living of Johnson City Executive Director Shelley Bailey and Staff would like to recognize Lisa Tucker, CNA as the Recipient of the 2025 Commitment to Caring Award.

Christian Assisted Living of Johnson City was asked to nominate employees that continually demonstrate a “Commitment to Caring”. These employees were nominated based upon the criteria of:

- Relating well to residents, families, visitors, staff, and supervisors; respecting resident’s rights;

- Consistently performing beyond basic job requirements; promoting safety in the workplace;

- Striving to maintain personal and professional growth through in-services or external educational opportunities;

- Maintaining a positive “can-do” attitude;

- Having dependable attendance; participating in company sponsored events;

- Participating as a team player;

- And overall continually demonstrating the “Commitment to Caring” philosophy.

Lisa has worked at Christian Assisted Living of Johnson City for twelve years and in healthcare six years. She continually shows a “Commitment to Caring” by listening when Residents talk and to be there for them.

She stated that her motivation is that she has meaningful work that makes a difference in people’s lives.

Lisa shared that she likes working at Christian Assisted Living because she has great Bosses and the Residents are her family and they make her happy each day. Everybody is great to work with as well.

As for personal experiences, she shared that she enjoys helping Team members and learning new skills. 

It might be cold outside, but the Residents are heating things up on the inside with Drum Alive Therapy!

As our CALofJC Family sat down to eat, we asked what they were THANKFUL for. And their responses were: the Lord blessing me with another day on earth; life; being born in the USA; "our BIG Family"; Staff that takes good care of us; delicious food; "My home. I have a nice place to live and a warm bed"; "my wonderful family and friends here" and having God in my heart!

 Lisa Tucker was recognized at The Annual Caring Hearts Banquet.

Her work is thorough, accurate, and timely. She has wonderful attendance and 13 years of dedicated service. These qualities stand out; her performance goes above and beyond expectations and contributes to CALofJC receiving full Joint Commission Accreditation!

We are blessed to have Lisa on our Team!

Wonderful day Celebrating OUR Veteran's! 

Thank you so much Shellie with Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for providing the Veterans with blankets, Veteran's pins, and the delicious cake and punch! 

Also in observance of Veterans Day, CALofJC retired our old flag and raised a new one. This was a tribute to ALL our Veterans! 

Special thanks to Bagpiper John Shell, Seth Sherman, Toby Brown and  Laura Brown for making this day honorable!

Broad River Rehabilitation would like to recognize Juantia “Dede” Beaston as our success story for Christian Assisted Living. 

Dede has been a hard worker with our Therapy Team and has made great improvements in her balance and walking. Dede stated, “I am able to get around much better and by working with the therapy team has increase my safety awareness. I feel like I have gained back some of my independence.” 

Thank you, Dede, for your hard work and we are happy to have helped you reach your goals.
