Ms. Agnes Lowe was honored yesterday by the East Tennessee Nursing Honor Guard , State Representative Rebecca Alexander, and staff at Christian Assisted Living of Johnson City along with a Proclamation and Flag from the Governor’s office for her service as a Nursing Cadet in WWII.

Join us on Thursday, September 10, 1-2pm, as we honor Agnes Lowe's dedication to nursing and celebrating a lifetime of service. The East Tennessee Nurse Honor Guard will be present.          

Please join us in welcoming Rebekah McNerney as the new Marketing and Admissions Director at CALofJC. Rebekah grew up in Michigan and moved to East Tennessee to attend Milligan University, where she graduated with a double major in Communications and Political Science.

In her spare time, Rebekah enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring new places, and being outdoors. Rebekah shared, “I’m super excited to take on this new role. I look forward to getting to know our residents, building relationships with their families, and helping others discover what makes CALofJC such a special place to call home.”           

Christian Assisted Living had a very special visitor on Friday. Our residents had a great time enjoying some Elvis classics, lots of smiles, and a little rock ’n’ roll! We also enjoyed grilled peanut butter and banana sandwiches for lunch with Blue Hawaiian Punch.

Please join us in welcoming Tony Street as Maintenance Director at CALofJC. Tony recently took the position after serving many years working for the Town of Unicoi, which is also his and his family’s home community.

In his spare time, Tony is an avid outdoorsman. He loves the mountains and enjoys hunting, fishing, foraging and just the overall beauty of Northeast Tennessee. Tony also enjoys working with his hands and learning new skills.

Although Tony has only been with CALofJC a short time, he stated “it blesses my heart to talk with the residents and feel I have contributed to helping them in some way. The residents and staff have made this a very positive change for me, and I look forward to serving them.”              

Residents had a fantastic day at Winged Deer Park enjoying root beer floats and fellowship with each other.
